Wiki under construction. Many concepts here are from alpha 0.2 and may still change. The wiki will be finalised for version 1.0 — for now it's here to help closed testers and, later, early-access players find their way around. Side-by-Side & Overtaking

The corner-by-corner cession protocol, off-line attrition, and how committed overtakes resolve.

This page is a placeholder. The article is on the wiki roadmap but hasn't been written yet. Check back after the next update — or ask in Discord if you have a specific question we should answer first.

When two cars are laterally overlapped and longitudinally close, the sim enters a side-by-side state that’s resolved at the next braking zone. The cession protocol prevents cars from being stuck in parallel for a full lap (a problem in earlier builds).

This page will document the full attempt → commit → resolve flow, the off-line attrition penalty, and how aggressive vs. conservative drivers behave differently in side-by-side states.

For now, see Overtake Push for the toggle that biases attempt rate.
